Steps to Lock Photos Using Secure Folder

1. Set Up Secure Folder
Open Settings:
Go to Settings - Biometrics and Security - Secure Folder.
Sign In:

Sign in with your Samsung account. If you don’t have one, tap Create Account and follow the prompts.
Set Authentication:

Choose a lock type: PIN, Pattern, Password, or enable Biometrics (fingerprint or face recognition).

Enter and confirm your chosen lock method. This is separate from your device’s lock screen for added security.
Complete Setup:

Accept the permissions by tapping Continue.
A Secure Folder icon will appear on your home screen or app drawer.

2. Move Photos to Secure Folder
Open the Gallery App:

Launch the Samsung Gallery app (burgundy icon with a snowflake-like image).

Select Photos:
Tap and hold a photo to select it, or tap multiple photos to lock several at once. Alternatively, select an entire album from the Albums tab.
Move to Secure Folder:

Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the bottom-right or top-right corner.
Select Move to Secure Folder.

Authenticate using your PIN, password, or biometric (fingerprint/face).
Confirm Transfer:

The selected photos will move to Secure Folder’s Gallery app and disappear from the main Gallery. This may take a moment for large files; check progress in the notification panel.

3. Access Locked Photos
Open Secure Folder:

Tap the Secure Folder app on your home screen or app drawer.
Enter your PIN, password, or use biometrics to unlock.
View Photos:

Open the Gallery app within Secure Folder to view your locked photos.
Manage Photos:

You can add more photos, move them out, or organize them within Secure Folder’s Gallery.
