1To connect your PS5 DualSense Edge controller to your PS5 console, follow these steps:
Pairing the Controller:
Turn on your PS5 console.
Connect the controller to your console using the included USB cable.
Press the PS button on the controller.
The controller will power on, and after the light bar blinks, the player indicator lights up.
Using the Controller Wirelessly:
Once the controller has enough battery life, you can disconnect the USB cable and use it wirelessly.
Note that each controller can pair with only one PS5 console at a time. If you want to use it on another console, you’ll need to pair it with that one.
You can use up to four controllers simultaneously, with each player assigned a different color when pressing the PS button1.
Updating Software:
Always keep your PS5 console’s system software and the controller’s device software up to date.
To update the controller’s software, go to Settings - Accessories - DualSense Edge Wireless Controller and select DualSense Edge Wireless Controller Device Software.
Wired Connection:
If you need to charge your controller while playing, you can use it with a wired connection.
Go to Settings - Accessories - Controller (General) and select Communication Method - Use USB Cable.
