How to Charge your PS5 Controller with USB Power Supply on PS5 Pro Console
Charging Your PS5 Controller with the PS5 Pro’s USB Power Supply
1. Locate the USB Ports on the PS5 Pro
Front USB Port: The PS5 Pro has one USB-A port (standard rectangular shape) on the front, below the disc drive (if your model includes one).
Rear USB Ports: Two additional USB-A ports are on the back of the console.
No Front USB-C: Unlike the standard PS5 Slim, the PS5 Pro doesn’t appear to have a front USB-C port based on current designs, but it uses USB-C for the controller cable.
2. Use the Included USB Cable
The DualSense controller comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable in the PS5 Pro box.
Connect to Controller: Plug the USB-C end into the port on the top of your DualSense controller (near the triggers).
Connect to PS5 Pro: Plug the USB-A end into any of the console’s USB ports (front or rear).
3. Check Charging Status
Light Bar: When charging, the controller’s light bar pulses orange. It turns off or switches to a steady color (depending on settings) when fully charged.
On-Screen Indicator: Press the PS button while on the home screen to open the control center. The battery icon next to the controller shows the charge level.
4. Charge While Playing
You can charge and play simultaneously by connecting the controller to the PS5 Pro with the cable. The console supplies power even during gameplay.
