How to Stop PS5 Pro Entering Rest Mode Randomly (Settings Tutorial)
Stopping Your PS5 Pro from Entering Rest Mode Randomly
1. Adjust Power Saving Settings
The PS5 Pro enters rest mode automatically after a period of inactivity, controlled by timers. Here’s how to change or disable them:
Go to Settings: From the home screen, select the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Navigate to Power Saving: Select System - Power Saving.
Set Time Until Rest Mode:
Choose Set Time Until PS5 Enters Rest Mode.
You’ll see two options:
During Media Playback: Controls rest mode when watching videos or streaming (e.g., YouTube, Netflix).
While Playing Games: Controls rest mode during game inactivity.
For each, select:
1 Hour, 4 Hours, or 20 Hours to extend the time.
Don’t Put in Rest Mode to disable it entirely (recommended if it’s happening randomly).
Apply Changes: The settings save automatically. Test by leaving the console idle to see if it stays on.
