How to Change the Time for PS5 Pro to Enter Rest Mode and Turn OFF
Changing the Time for PS5 Pro to Enter Rest Mode
The PS5 Pro enters rest mode based on inactivity timers for games and media playback. You can customize these separately:
Go to Settings: From the home screen, select the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Navigate to Power Saving: Select System Power Saving.
Set Time Until Rest Mode:
Choose Set Time Until PS5 Enters Rest Mode.
You’ll see two options:
While Playing Games: Sets the inactivity timer for games.
During Media Playback: Sets the timer for apps like YouTube, Netflix, or Blu-ray playback.
For each, pick from:
1 Hour: Enters rest mode after 1 hour of inactivity.
4 Hours: After 4 hours.
20 Hours: After 20 hours (effectively disables it for most sessions).
Don’t Put in Rest Mode: Never enters rest mode automatically (stays on indefinitely).
Select your preferred time for each scenario.
Save Changes: The settings apply immediately—no need to confirm further. Test by leaving the console idle during a game or media app to ensure it follows the new timer.
