How to Delete Commands as a Mod on Twitch (Nightbot, Streamlabs Chatbot, StreamElements, Cloudbot)
Twitch streamers use chatbots to interact with chat and keep them informed. Viewers can use custom commands to get information such as uptime or social links. Custom commands often allow the streamer to keep viewers informed on upcoming events.
As a mod it is important to know how to delete a command on Twitch. To delete a command you will need to know what chatbot is being used. There are four major chatbots that support custom commands.
When a command is no longer needed you may want to remove it. Each bot has a simple chat command that you can use to delete an existing command. These commands are only available for moderator use. Whenever a non-mod uses the command, the bot will ignore the message.
The delete command differs depending on the chatbot being used. Nightbot uses the shortest command of “!delcom”. Both the StreamElements and Streamlabs Chatbot use “!command remove”. To delete a command with Cloud use “!removecommand”.
When removing a command you will need to send a message using the deletion command, followed by a space and the command you want to delete. Once a command has been deleted the only way to restore it is to add it again.
