How to Save and Download Your Streams on Twitch 2021
Twitch streams temporarily save to your channel as a past broadcast . Past streams, and videos can be found on the video producer page. Clicking on the three dots next to a video will open the options menu. From the menu you can choose to download your stream as a video.
After a short period of time the past broadcasts are removed from your Twitch channel. For most users the VODs are deleted after fourteen days, however partners can store the broadcast for sixty days.
Converting a past stream into a highlight will permanently save the stream to your channel. Highlights don’t get removed from a Twitch channel, unless it is manually deleted.
When creating a highlight you will need to select a region using the timeline at the bottom. The entire region will be published as a video to your channel. This allows you to trim out any intro or outro areas of the stream you don’t want saved.
During the publishing process you can set a title, description and even upload a custom thumbnail. After the processing has finished you can download the highlight to your PC. Highlights can also be downloaded from the video producer page.
