About this video: In this video, we show you exactly how to download and install Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.2. What is Just Enough Items for 1.16.2? Well, it is also commonly know as the JEI mod, and it allows you to see all of the different crafting recipes for all of the items available in Minecraft. From vanilla items like to any modded items that you have added to your game, you can see how to craft them and easily add them into a crafting table all with Just Enough Items. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to add Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.2!
The first step of getting JEI 1.16.2 is actually downloading and install Forge. You can find our in-depth guide on getting Forge for 1.16.2 in the description above. We have helped millions of people get Forge setup, and that tutorial will for sure help you out.
Once you have Forge setup, it is time to download Just Enough Items for Minecraft 1.16.2. You can find the JEI download link in the description above. That will actually take you to our text tutorial for Just Enough Items. From here, scroll down and click the yellow “Download Just Enough Items”. That will take you to the office JEI download page. To get the 1.16.2 version of Just Enough Items, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the “Minecraft 1.16” section. Under this, you will see a version of JEI that has 1.16.2 in the title. Click the purple download button to the right of this version. You will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
Now, we can learn how to install Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.2. This is super simple. Just hit the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. That will open up the Run application. In the text box in that application, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. That will open up your roaming folder. In the roaming folder, you will see a ‘.minecraft’ folder. Open that folder, and you should see a 'mods' folder. If you don't have a mods folder, just create one!
Open your mods folder, and drag-and-drop Just Enough Items into it. Congratulations! You have now installed Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.2. However, you aren’t done just yet. You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the play button, and select ‘Forge’. Click the green play button, and Minecraft 1.16.2 will open up with the Just Enough Items mod installed.
