About this video: In this video, we show you how to download and install Optifine for Minecraft PC 1.16.3. We tell you how to find the correct version of Optifine 1.16.3, and then, how to install that version of Optifine 1.16.3 in Minecraft PC Java Edition. Why should you want to get Optifine for Minecraft 1.16.3? Well, Optifine has many uses. From making Optifine look better using shaders to increasing FPS and reducing lag, Optifine 1.16.3 can do everything from making Minecraft look incredible to make it playable on even the worst PC. Optifine is the Minecraft mod for everyone.
The first step of adding Optifine to Minecraft 1.16.3 is downloading it. You can find the official Optifine 1.16.3 download in the description above. When you are there, find the ‘Minecraft 1.16.3’ section. Under that, you will see the 1.16.3 Optifine versions. Find the first version under this section and click the ‘mirror’ link to the right of this version. You will be taken to a page where there is a blue ‘Download Optifine 1.16.3’ link. Click that link, and Optifine will begin downloading in Minecraft 1.16.3. You will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
Now, it is time to learn how to install Optifine 1.16.3 in Minecraft. To do this, move Optifine to your desktop. It is most likely in your downloads folder. Then, right-click on Optifine, click on ‘Open With’, click on ‘Java’, and click ‘Okay’. The Optifine installer should then open. If you don’t have the Java option, you need to download Java and run the Jarfix from the description above.
After the Optifine installer is open, it is super easy to install Optifine on PC. All you need to do is click on the ‘Install’ button. This will install Optifine. It may look like the Optifine installer has frozen, but just give it a few seconds. It will come up and say Optifine has successfully installed. If it doesn’t go play Minecraft 1.16.3 without any mods or anything, and then, you will be able to install Optifine with the launcher.
Getting Optifine installed isn’t the end of adding Optifine to Minecraft. You still need to make sure you select the right profile from the Minecraft launcher. To do this, open the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the Play button, click on ‘Optifine’, and click Play. Minecraft should then open up with Optifine 1.16.3 installed. If you don’t have the Optifine installation when you click the arrow next to the play button, you can create one from the installations tab. Just create a new installation and change the version to the 1.16.3 Optifine version that is the drop down box.
