Why would you want 1.17.1 AppleSkin? Well, it adds in tooltips for food that will let you know information about them, as well as visualization of food on the health and food bars. So, without anymore delay, let’s jump right on into the video!
The first thing you need to do in order to get AppleSkin is download it. You can find the AppleSkin download link in the description above. Once you are there, you will download AppleSkin like any other CurseForge mod. Just look at the right-hand sidebar and find the Minecraft 1.17 section. Under this section, you will find the 1.17.1 AppleSkin download. Click the orange download button to the right of this version. AppleSkin will the start downloading. You will need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
After you have AppleSkin downloaded, we need to download and install Forge for 1.17.1. You can find our complete guide to download 1.17.1 Forge in the description above. We even go over the issues you may have when installing it.
After Forge is installed, it’s time to install AppleSkin. To do this, open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the play button, select the Forge profile, and click Play. Click Play again, and Minecraft 1.17.1 will open up with Forge.
On the Minecraft main menu click on the ‘mods’ button. Then, click on the ‘Open Mods Folder’ button in the bottom right of the mods page. This will open your mods folder. Then, drag-and-drop the AppleSkin mod you downloaded in this folder.
If you go back to Minecraft, you will not have AppleSkin. You will need to restart Minecraft 1.17.1. Just make sure you are launching Minecraft with your Forge installation. When Minecraft opens back up, AppleSkin 1.17.1 will be installed!
