About this video: This video will show you how to download and install the Replay Mod in Minecraft 1.17.1. What is the Replay Mod? Well, it is a mod that allows you to record Minecraft and create true Minecraft cinematic movies. Do you want to speed up and slow down Minecraft? What about time lapse a build in Minecraft? The Replay mod allows you to do this without any problems whatsoever all using the in game video creator that Replay Mod adds to 1.17.1.
The first step of adding the Minecraft Replay Mod to 1.17.1 is actually downloading and installing the Fabric Mod Loader. You can find a link to the mod loader in the description above. Once you are there, click on the Download Installer (Universal/.jar). This will download the Fabric installer. Open this installer, and install Fabric 1.17.1.
We can now move on to downloading the Replay mod for 1.17.1. You can find the Replay mod download link in the description above. When you click that link, you will be on the official 1.17.1 Replay mod. On this page, click the download button next to the 1.17.1 version. Replay 1.17.1 will start downloading. You will need to keep or save the file depending on your browser. You will also need to repeat this process for the Fabric API mod linked above. This is on CurseForge. You can find the 1.17.1 version of the FabricAPI in the right-hand sidebar.
After you have the FabricAPI and Replay Mod downloaded, we can learn how to install Replay Mod for Minecraft 1.17.1. To do this, press the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. This will open the Run application. In this app, type ‘%appdata%’ in the text box and hit enter. The Roaming folder will then open. In this folder, open the .minecraft. Then, you should have a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t, just create one! Finally, drag-and-drop the Replay Mod and the FabricAPI into this folder. You have now installed the Replay Mod in 1.17.1!
You aren’t complete finished though. You still need FFMpeg to actually create videos using the Replay Mod. You can find a link to the Replay Mod documentation above. This will explain how to install FFMpeg, but we also show you how to install FFMpeg for the Replay Mod in Minecraft 1.17.1 in the video. It’s honestly a very simple process once you know where to actually download the FFMpeg files from and where to put them.
At this point though, you can open up Minecraft with the Fabric 1.17.1 installation in your Minecraft Launcher, and the Replay Mod will be installed and working!
