About this video: Do you want Dynamic Lights in Minecraft 1.17.1? If so, this is the video for you! We show you exactly how to download and install Dynamic Lights for Minecraft 1.17.1. This will allow things like torches to shine even when they are in your hand and allow for other cool lighting upgrades throughout Minecraft. Dynamic Lights has been added to Optifine in the past, but with newer versions the Dynamic Lights feature can sometimes be slow to upgrade. That is where Lamb Dynamic Lights comes in, so without anymore delay, here is how to get Dynamic Lights in Minecraft 1.17.1!
The first step of adding Dynamic Lights to Minecraft 1.17.1 is downloading and install the Fabric Mod Loader. You can find the Fabric Mod Loader linked in the description above. Once you are there, you want to download the Unviersal/.jar file. You will need to keep or save the file depending on your browser. We show you exactly how to get the Fabric Mod Loader installed in the video and even show you how to fix some common problems you may have installing Fabric.
After you have Fabric, you can move to downloading Dynamic Lights. You can find the Dynamic Lights mod download link in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.17’ section. Under this, you will see a version of Dynamic Lights for 1.17.1 Fabric. Click the orange download button to the right of this version to start the download. You will need to keep or save this file depending on your browser.
You need to repeat the above process for the FabricAPI compatibility mod. This mod is required in order to add Dynamic Lights to Minecraft 1.17.1 as Dynamic Lights is a Fabric mod.
Once you have Lamb Dynamic Lights and the FabricAPI downloaded, we can move on to installing them. To do this press the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. This will open up the Run app. In this app, type ‘%appdata%’ and enter. This will open up your Roaming folder. In this folder, open the .minecraft folder. You will then see a mods folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, create one. Finally, to install Dynamic Lights in Minecraft 1.17.1, drag-and-drop the Lamb Dynamic Lights and FabricAPI files you downloaded into this mods folder.
You aren’t completely finished installing Dynamic Lights 1.17.1 though. You still need to open up the Minecraft Launcher, select the Fabric profile by clicking the little arrow next to the Play button, selecting Fabric, and then clicking play. When you do this, Minecraft 1.17.1 will open up with Dynamic Lights installed!
