After you have Forge, we need to download the jetpack mod. Specifically, we need to download Simply Jetpacks 2 for Minecraft 1.17.1. You can find the Simply Jetpacks 2 download link in the description above. When you click that link, it will take you to CurseForge. On CurseForge, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.17’ section. Under this, you will see ‘Simply Jetpacks 2 for Minecraft 1.17.1. Click the orange download button to the right of this, and the download will begin after a few seconds. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
With Simply Jetpacks 2 downloaded, we can move on to installing it. To do this, press the Windows key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. This will open your Run. In the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. Your roaming folder will open. In this folder, you will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you should have a mods folder. You aren’t completely finished though. You still need to open up Minecraft 1.17.1 with Forge. To do this, open up the Minecraft launcher, click the button next to the play button, select the Forge profile, and click Play. You will have to confirm you are playing modded Minecraft, and then, Minecraft 1.17.1 will then open up with Forge installed! You can now craft and use jetpacks in Minecraft 1.17.1!
