We show you how to get the CurseForge Launcher for Mineshafts and Monsters and how to actually install Mineshafts and Monsters once you have CurseForge installed. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to get Mineshafts & Monsters in Minecraft 1.17.1!
The first step of getting Mineshafts & Monsters is downloading and install the CurseForge launcher. You can find a link to CurseForge in the description above. When you click that link, it will take you to our website which will show you exactly how to get CurseForge. We do cover this in our Mineshafts and Monsters tutorial too though. On our website click the yellow ‘Download CurseForge’ button. This will then take you to the official CurseForge download page.
On this page, click the ‘Download for Windows’ button. CurseForge for Windows will start downloading. After it has downloaded, you can install CurseForge for Mineshafts and Monsters. To do this, just double-click on the file you downloaded. From there, CurseForge installs just like any other program. You have to install Overwolf as well. This is the parent company of CurseForge.
With CurseForge installed, you will land on the main CurseForge page. Click on Minecraft, and click ‘Install’. Minecraft will then setup for CurseForge. Finally, at the top of the launcher, you will see a search box. Click that, and in it, type ‘Mineshafts and Monsters’ and hit enter. The Mineshafts & Monsters modpack will appear. Click the Install button on it, and Mineshafts and Monsters will begin installing. It will take a while to get all of the mods downloaded and installed.
After Mineshafts & Monsters is installed, we can move on to how to play the Mineshafts and Monsters modpack. To do this, press the Play button that appeared on the modpack. Then, the Minecraft launcher will open up. You will need to login to this launcher. This is going to be what you login to the normal Minecraft launcher with because this is the normal Minecraft launcher.
Once you are logged in, you will see ‘Mineshafts & Monsters’ in the bottom right next to the green Play button. Finally, click the green Play button, agree you are playing modded Minecraft, and click the green Play button again. Mineshafts & Monsters will now open up! It may take a while on first launch. This is normal. From there, you will land on the Mineshafts & Monsters main menu. You can play single player, join a server, and do anything you want!
