All of the Journey Map 1.17.1 settings are configurable. You can change everything from what mobs, entities, etc. are on the map to where the minimap is located to much, much more. So, without anymore delay, here is how to download and install the JourneyMap mod in Minecraft 1.17.1.
The first step of getting JourneyMap is downloading and installing Forge for Minecraft 1.17.1. You can find our in-depth guide to downloading, installing, and setting up Forge for Minecraft 1.17.1 in the description above. We go over every single step of getting 1.17.1 Forge and even show you how to fix some of the issues you will have when adding Forge to Minecraft.
After you have Forge 1.17.1, we can move on to downloading and installing JourneyMap for 1.17.1. You can find the download link for Journey Map in the description above. That link will actually take you to our text tutorial for 1.17.1 Journey Map. Once you are there, scroll down and click the yellow ‘Download JourneyMap’ button. This will take you to the official Journey Map download page. On this page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.17’ section. Under that, you will see the JourneyMap 1.17.1 version. Click the orange download button to the right of this version and JourneyMap will start downloading for 1.17.1. You will need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
With JourneyMap downloaded, we can move to installing it. To do this, open up the Minecraft launcher, select the ‘Forge’ version by clicking the arrow to the left of the Play button, and then, clicking on ‘Forge’. Finally, click Play and Minecraft 1.17.1 will open up with Forge.
From the Minecraft main menu, click on the ‘mods’ button. Then, click on the ‘Open Mods Folder’ button. This will open your mods folder. Finally, to install JourneyMap for 1.17.1, drag-and-drop JourneyMap into this mods folder. It is that easy to install JourneyMap for 1.17.1.
Now, you aren’t complete finished. You still need to close out of Minecraft and reopen it using your Forge 1.17.1 installation. Once you have done that, you will be able to join in game and use JourneyMap for 1.17.1!
