About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to see a seed in Minecraft Java Edition. We also show you how to see your seed in Minecraft Bedrock Edition assuring that no matter what you will be able to find your seed in Minecraft.

Why would you want to check your seed in Minecraft? Well, you may want to start a new world with your seed to test things or share your Minecraft seed with a friend. You can also use the seed to start a new world on a server, or even use your seed for different tools to find biomes, structures, and more.

So how do you see the seed in Minecraft Java Edition? Well, it is very easy. All you need to do is run the /seed command. When you do this, your world seed will appear. Just click on this in your chat, and the seed for your Minecraft world will be copied to your computer’s clipboard.

You can now paste this seed anywere you want. What’s even better is you don’t need cheats enabled in your Minecraft world to get your seed!

What about how to find your seed in Minecraft Bedrock Edition though? Well, the process of seeing your seed on Minecraft Bedrock Edition is different than finding your seed on Java Edition.

Start off on the Minecraft Bedrock main menu. You sadly cannot see your seed in-game in Bedrock Edition. From the main menu, select the “Play” button and find the world you want to see the seed on.

Hover over this world, and click the Pencil/Edit icon. This will open your world’s settings. Next, click on the “Game” settings in the bottom left. Here, you will see the seed for your Minecraft world. Sadly, you cannot easily copy and paste your Minecraft world’s seed from here, so you will need to type the seed out manually.

With that, you now know how to see your seed in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to find your seed in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
