1. Use LAN if possible
Wired is always faster and more stable than Wi-Fi.
2. Move closer to the router
If using Wi-Fi, reduce distance and remove obstacles between your PS5 and router.
3. Use 5GHz Wi-Fi
Settings → Network → Settings → Set Up Internet Connection → Choose your 5GHz band (not 2.4GHz).
4. Change DNS settings
Go to Settings → Network → Settings → Set Up Internet Connection → Choose your network → Advanced Settings.
Set DNS to:
Primary: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4
(or use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1)
5. Pause other downloads or games
Close any running games or apps while downloading.
6. Enable Rest Mode for downloads
Put PS5 in Rest Mode. It downloads faster without background activity.
7. Restart your router
