Thus, without any more delay, here is how to make a server in Minecraft 1.16.3.

The first step of starting a Minecraft server is downloading the server files for Minecraft 1.16.3. You can find a link in the description above to get the server files for 1.16.3. When you click on that link, it will actually take you to our text tutorial for creating a Minecraft server. This is great if we go to fast in the video. When you are here, scroll down until see the ‘Download Minecraft’ button. Click that, and you will be taken to a page with a green link that says ‘minecraft_server.1.16.3.jar’. Click that, and the 1.16.3 Minecraft server file will begin downloading. You may need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.

After you have your server.jar downloaded, create a folder on your desktop called ‘Minecraft 1.16.3 Server’, and drag-and-drop the server.jar into this file. Then, double click on the server.jar. Assuming you have the correct version of Java for Minecraft, link in the description above on how to get that, you will have a few files generate. Your Minecraft server won’t start though because you need agree to the EULA. Luckily, there should now be an EULA.txt file. Open that file, and change ‘EULA=false’ to ‘EULA=true’ assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA.

Double click on on the server.jar file again, and your Minecraft 1.16.3 server will finally start up. Now, at this point, you can join your server, but your friends can’t join your server. How can you join your server? Well, you can join your Minecraft 1.16.3 server using your IPv4 address. To find this, open up the CMD, and type ‘ipconfig' and hit enter. You will then see a bunch of numbers one of which is your IPv4 address. Make note of this and your default gateway as you will need your default gateway if you want your friends to join your Minecraft server.

To join your Minecraft server, just go to multiplayer and direct connect to the IPv4 address. If you want your friends to join, you will need to port forward your Minecraft server. This is covered in-depth in this video, but you will want to forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP proctol for the computer you are starting the server on. Once you have port forwarded your Minecraft 1.16.3 server, your friends will be able to join with your public IP.
