About this video: This video is a step-by-step guide on how to start an All The Mods 3 server in Minecraft. #AllTheMods3 is an awesome Minecraft mod pack that has over 250 mods. This is one of the biggest and most extensive modpacks ever created for Minecraft. Thus, the name really makes sense, and in this video, I am going to show you how to create your very own All The Mods 3 server! Let's get into it!
First and foremost, you need to download the All The Mods 3 server files. You can find a link to these above. Then, you need to download the Twitch app. This will let you install All The Mods 3 on your computer which you need to do in order to play All The Mods.
Once you have everything downloaded, you need to run the 'StartServer' file in your All The Mods server download. This will get the #MinecraftServer running. It will fail though as you need to agree to the #Minecraft EULA. This file will be called 'eula.txt'. Open it up, and change 'EULA=false' to 'EULA=true'. Then, run your server again with the 'StartServer' file. At this point, you have your AllTheMods server setup.
The problem is thought your friends can't join the server. For them to be able to join, you will need to port forward. Now, this is actually very simple. Just open up command prompt and type 'IPConfig'. After that, you will take your default gateway and type that into your web browser. Login to your router, and you will need to find port forwarding. This could also be called port triggering, apps and gaming, or a number of different things.
Once you have found it, you will need to port forward the port 25565 for your modded server to work. Now, just go to WhatsMyIP linked above and get your IP. You will also need to go to the 'mods' tab on Twitch, click Minecraft, search 'All The Mods 3', and then, click 'install'. It will now install the All The Mods 3 modpack. Once it is done, click play, click play again, and you are done!
Once you are on the main menu of All The Mods, go to multiplayer, and connect to the server using the public IP you found earlier. Congrats! You now have an all the mods the server setup! You will get your friends the public IP to connect to your All The Mods 3 Minecraft server. If you have any issue with your friends connecting to your server, you need to disable your firewall.
