HOW to merge your Drive Volumes together on Windows 10 or 11
To merge drive volumes on Windows 10 or 11, you can use Disk Management or a third-party partition manager. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Method 1: Using Disk Management (Native Tool)
Note: You can only merge a drive with unallocated space (not an existing partition). If your drive has data, back it up first before deleting any partition.
Open Disk Management
Press Win + X and select Disk Management.
Or press Win + R, type diskmgmt.msc, and press Enter.
Delete the Partition to Free Up Space
Right-click the drive you want to merge into another.
Select Delete Volume.
This will turn the partition into Unallocated Space.
⚠ ️ Important: Deleting a partition erases all its data. Back up important files before doing this.
Extend the Target Volume
Right-click the drive you want to expand (e.g., C:).
Select Extend Volume.
The Extend Volume Wizard will open.
Choose the unallocated space and click Next, then Finish.
