How to System Restore Windows 10 or 11 PC to earlier date to fix problems
Here's how you can use System Restore to take your Windows 10 or 11 PC back to an earlier date:
Access System Restore:
For Windows 10:
Type "Create a restore point" in the search bar and click on it.
In the System Properties window, click the "System Restore..." button.
For Windows 11:
Click on the Start button and type "System Restore" in the search bar.
Select "Recovery" and then click on "Open System Restore".
Choose a Restore Point:
The System Restore window will open. Click "Next".
You'll see a list of restore points with dates. Select the one from before you started experiencing issues and click "Next".
Confirm and Restore:
Review the details of the restore point and click "Finish".
Your computer will restart, and System Restore will begin. This process may take some time, so just hang tight.
Completion:
Once the process is complete, your system will boot up as it was on the selected restore point date. Check to see if the issues are resolved.
