To set your default speakers in Windows 11 or 10, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using Sound Settings
Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner).
Click Sound settings (Windows 11) or Open Sound settings (Windows 10).
Under Output, click the dropdown menu under Choose your output device and select your preferred speakers.

Close the settings—your selection is now the default.

Method 2: Using the Control Panel
Press Win + R, type mmsys.cpl, and press Enter.
Under the Playback tab, find your speakers.

Right-click your preferred speakers and select Set as Default Device.
Click Apply, then OK.
