How to Turn Off Wake Up Always On Display by Moving on Motorola Phone (Best Method)
The feature on Motorola phones that briefly shows the time, notifications, and battery when you move the phone is called Peek Display (Motorola's version of Always-On Display or Ambient Display).
To stop the screen from waking up every time you move the phone, you need to disable the "Moving the phone" gesture within the display settings.
Here is the best and most direct method:
Method 1: Disabling the Motion Gesture
The setting you need to turn off is usually nested under the Lock Screen or Gestures menu.
Open Settings on your Motorola phone.
Navigate to Home and lock screen (or just Display on some older models).
Tap on Lock screen.
Scroll down to the Gestures and haptics section (or similar) and look for Wake display.
Tap on Wake display (or Lift to wake/check phone).
You will typically see two options:
□ Tapping the display
□ Moving the phone
Uncheck or toggle OFF the box/switch next to Moving the phone.
Once this is done, the Peek Display will only activate when you tap the screen or when you receive a new notification, not just from random movement.
