And so, I managed to meet my original goal after all. Hell, this stream itself is actually shorter than usual. Yet it's not just elation over finishing another stream and excitement over starting a new game I feel. No, this time, there's also an emptiness. This is the last time I'll be playing through killer7 for the first time... and it's not a particularly happy feeling. But I guess that's just a testament to how much I loved this game.

Honestly, the previous session is really what laid the groundwork for this finale. This was pretty much wrapping things up. As it would turn out the sixth mission (or "Target 05") was essentially the last "true" mission of the game, while the seventh mission was simply a short epilogue. To fill time, I decided to do both routes in that one. I mean, there were differences between them... but they were pretty minor. Still, a good way to fill time.

Finishing off the bonus mission unlocked the game's secret difficulty setting: "Bloodbath". This can apparently only be access by the other bonus unlock for beating the game: "killer8", a mode that adds the young version of Harmon Smith to the playable roster of killers. To kill just a little more time, I decided to fire it up... and honestly? Didn't feel worth playing through. Harmon wields the ol' "Chicago Typewriter" gatling gun, which is kind of unique compared to the other characters, but ends up just being a slightly better version of Con's rapid-fire attack.

I also neglected to mention my final score for the game at the end of the stream... but considering I updated my Twitter thread right after the early finish tonight. So I came up with a rating there: 9.5/10. Definitely enjoyed this more than Chrono Trigger, so I felt like killer7 deserved a slightly better score... but one that still fell short of perfection.
