And with that, my plans to finish this game in six streams have gone up in smoke. And it's all thanks to one teenage girl wearing an Anime mask. Ayame Blackburn, you magnificent bitch. You stalled my progress not once, but twice! The only saving grace here is that after the last stream, I tried to look up strategies on how to fight her first battle more effectively on YouTube... and that ended up spoiling me to the fact that there was a second fight. If I hadn't known that ahead of time, the revelation probably would've broken me. Either way, it was satisfying to see her finally lay down dead... but that bit of catharsis didn't undo the damage that utter timesink did to this run. Still felt damn good though.

Aside from those... unfortunate timewasters, the rest of the fourth mission went pretty well for the most part. I mean, I died a few times as I often do. But it was at least interesting to scope around Blackburn's estate. One particular point where I lost some time was when I mixed up the order of a couple of puzzles' solutions, but aside from that, it was smooth sailing. The boss fight against Curtis himself, however, was simultaneously disappointing... and brilliant. I mean, the cutscenes portrayed the character as a total badass, Ayame (who I'm assuming was his daughter, since they have the same last name) was an incredibly difficult boss fight... and Curtis himself -- the mission's final boss -- essentially boiled down to that quick draw mini-game from Kirby's Adventure. Absolutely genius.

I guess there's still technically a little hope left for me to finish the game in 3 weeks. Dari has claimed that the remaining 3 missions are shorter than this week's batch was. So, if I can somehow finish the fifth mission and the first part of the sixth next time... then wrap up the sixth and seventh missions in the stream after that, I could technically still make my original goal. At this point, though, I'm not particularly worried about it. If I finish in six streams, then that's great. If I finish in seven, well, that'd be thematically appropriate, wouldn't you think?

I doubt it'll take more than that, but that kind of talk has bitten me in the ass in the past. So I'll just keep quiet on that front.
