Did you know these 3 tricks for Crock pot Queso??

Now this is aimed at crock pot queso! I can make a different one for my cast iron queso!

1. Using a protein is a must!! It adds texture and flavor and i personally won’t make queso without it! Chorizo is my go to!

2. Cheese!!! Never use pre-shredded cheese in a bag! It doesn’t melt as well and the additives will cause it to seize up! I like the consistency and flavor I get from Velveeta, Pepperjack, and Smoked Cheddar.

3. Thin out your queso! I do this at the end to have more control over consistency and texture. I’ve used evaporated milk, whole milk, half and half… and a few other options, but I prefer whole milk! I recommend adding 1 cup to start, then adjust! Just make sure you give it time to heat up and work its magic.
