A small video for the area after the artist's room (with the Iwazaru painting). There are two clips here, one without Mach and the other with.

For No Mach (0:00), the visual cue is simple: when Con passes by the penultimate panel on the wall beside him, dodge roll. Mach (0:10), however, is an absolute no-brainer, requiring no timing whatsoever to run past the Smile. The instant enters for the junctions: up-right past the alley, up-left-ish towards the door, and left for the door.

These two strats are even in time; I didn't do an exact frame count, but from all my tests, both strats were consistently ten seconds each, and you can easily lose frames on either strat from imperfect junctions, making it negligible. Mach is easier and safer by being a no-effort strat, but it also uses a vial of blood, which can make a difference in a chapter like Alter Ego. No Mach requires some actual timing, but it's really not that hard once you understand the visual cue, and it saves a vial of blood. The choice mostly comes down to personal preference.
