Kirby Super Star: Revenge of Meta Knight (Co-op) -- Chapter 4, Back for More
Last we left our heroes, they were climbing the apparently not-so-major A Major mountain as the Halberd shrank further into the distance. Well... Kirby, GIM, and the Sailor Waddle Dee wasn't quite so certain as anyone else that escape was assured, but the head start was considerable, to say the least.
Near the top, Kirby was met with a most unexpected sight... Dyna Blade was waiting at the summit! I suppose this means Dyna Blade is of a migratory species of... gigantic armored bird... either that or she noticed the puffball trying to get a better vantage point and has just as much reason to want to be rid of the noisy metal monstrosity cutting through and blasting loud noises through her skies.
Either way, an unexpected and powerful team-up was now afoot and Kirby is back for more!

Revenge of Meta Knight, Chapter 4
Back for More
Yes, I just said that. "Back for more!" Don't you take that tone with me, chapter name! You're not even visible anywhere, so I don't need any of that out of you! It's merely by my own courtesy and thoughtfulness that you're along for the ride to begin with!
Anyway, apparently Dyna Blade, despite being a much bigger target, is far more maneuverable (or at least better at moving evasively, the choice is yours how much you choose to disparage Kirby's piloting skills) and manages to get Kirby and Wheelie safely aboard the deck of the Halberd once again.
Unfortunately, she managed to catch an attack in the process... and while Ax Knight stresses that they "shot her down"... the sheer number of explosions in the sky and the glimpse we catch of her onscreen makes me think that they barely grazed her at best and with this task completed, she simply chose to withdraw rather than risk any more serious injury in the process.
Now that you're finally back aboard, Kirby, please try to avoid getting blasted out any open-air spaces on the ship!
There's more than just a minor amount of resistance waiting for us on the deck, the indestructible Gordos and rock-hard Rockies can really take a bite out of your vitality meter. Not to mention a few tricky traps in the form of the automatic launching platforms... which I must say are not in a particularly good place for fighters to sortie. Then again, maybe they're just for show. Or, in one case, a trap... which I wonder if my cohort took personally that I decided to avoid and wait for him to return from. In the spirit of the mounting tensions, I apologize for nothing!
I do want to apologize in advance for any manually-scrolling text segments that get... well, glossed over... because that's the other thing about being in the midst of battle AND having a second player who's raring to work off a little bit of minor frustration as cooperation seems to have been breaking down fairly continually for awhile now. The messages are at least allowed to pass on by in their entirety. My having already read them countless times before, I didn't actually think about it in the excitement, truth be told. Sorry about that!
Speaking of noncooperation, I must admit I didn't really think hard on what Poppy Bros. Jr. was actually doing while we were taking that elevator ride. I mean, I know holding a bomb too long is dangerous to the user, and I at least thought that he ought to remember that... but then the realization that he was really just going to hold it and the suspicion that maybe Kirby ought not be standing so close finally set in... boom! I have to say, I knew that Kirby had been in deep trouble for way too long, but I couldn't have envisioned any more spectacular a way to resolve his health worries! I really didn't feel bad at all force-feeding him a Cutter cap in the back next time around.
I probably should've asked much earlier if P2 wanted to have Jukid's ability, because sub-boss bodies don't stick around very long or stand up to much abuse... but I suppose it's not so bad to only have one person running amok with Suplex at a time. Just... don't be surprised if you're not the one who gets to destroy too many of the opposition if your buddy is Bugzzy.
Ah, but maybe it won't be so bad... if he's Suplex and we're up against a boss, maybe that means he'll have to restrain himself just enough to grab something with which to do some immense damage to the target.
...or not, as he wasted no time just hopping up on the Combo Cannon (or "Twin Cannon" or "Main Cannon #2") to have at it. Meanwhile, my ninja projectiles weren't necessarily the best avenue of attack, as thrown kunai are pretty weak. I waited for the lower cannon to ready for attack so that I could generate a Quad Shock wave of damage that would reach the main cannon as well, but apparently my grasp of its positioning when it does so was a tad lacking, so it only happened once and despite being powerful, a shockwave will not be generated if you do it in the air.
So, it should come as no surprise that Bugzzy's gung-ho approach yielded better... if not more, ahem, self-destructive results.
