I feel obligated as a matter of courtesy to remind you that if you've already followed this far... the law of diminishing returns will seriously kick in now that all the original puzzles are out of the way. What follows is a second tour with a slight twist, and only in some fairly unusual cases do you actually see something particularly interesting develop in response to the tweaked conditions.

So... you've been warned. I will reiterate that I feel like these puzzles have all the right to exist that they've been afforded and are surprisingly more interesting to play than you might think. I just have to acknowledge that they're really not as interesting to watch, maybe even a little repetitive.

That said, I think it's important to point out that I fully acknowledge and respect anyone's choice to back out slowly and run screaming out the door. We'll see you again after 25 more installments of Lumines!

Puzzle Mode
Puzzle 27: Small Cross x2

Yes, "x2"... that's the not-so-big twist that is the latter half of the Lumines Puzzle Mode. Which, again... it sounds really uninteresting. It's even a bit of a letdown that you won't get any new puzzles at this point, but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I still like these puzzles. Maybe not as much as I liked the thrill of receiving a new one each time, but perhaps the complete disarrayed misuse of the time and energy that could've been directed towards some of the original puzzles makes me more forgiving for repetition. (Ahem, Arrow series, I'm looking at you!)

When I said that the Zero to Three puzzle was something of a glimpse into the future, I kinda meant this... in that the clear line wold have to pass over something and then would present you with another assignment to scan in before it would call the puzzle a success.

... ... ...no? Not going for it? Oh well, I tried.

The goal to the "x2" series is, as you might have guessed, to complete the target formation twice. You get more time, but the real trick as things get progressively more complex is to do so again without the slate being cleared for you to have all that nice space to work with again.

Actually, I'm not sure what it is that I'm doing in a lot of this video, because I can't trace any real focus on completing the objective. Until... well, some arbitrary point that has me decide "oh yeah, I should be doing something specific here!" ...and then the puzzle gets almost immediately solved. Weird.
