Let's Play Daikatana (GBC) #04: A Stoney Reception
99With Hiro and Mikiko reunited and now knowing that they're stuck in Ancient Greece, I'd like to tell you that they have a goal to work towards escaping back to 2455, after finding Superfly of course. Unfortunately for them there's no convenient trail of clues that will lead them towards a method of getting home, nor a town full of helpful NPCs who happen to know exactly where they need to go next. In fact the only people that Hiro and Mikiko have met have wanted to kill them, be they guards of the Parthenon or mythological creatures. The way to escape this time period is likely going to involve the Daikatana, but Hiro has no knowledge of how to draw forth the magic within the blade. All in all things aren't looking great for Hiro and his friends but at the same time, things could be worse.
The only lead they have is that the front door to the Parthanon is locked, seemingly by tablets scattered around the outside of the building. Perhaps someone within might be able to help and no matter how small the odds are of that, that's we we need to do. Hiro and Mikiko won't be able to rely on the guns they brought with them for long as the people here naturally don't have ammunition for them, but there are plenty of weapons of the time that we can start collecting and using instead. Despite the awesome power of the wooden stick we possess, some enemies will be dispatched far easier at range, especially boss battles. We've only had one of them so far but it's only a matter of time before we face off against others, bosses far more deadly than the first.
