It is the year 2455 and the world is a mess. A virus runs rampant throughout the human race, killing countless people and all the while, the vaccine is guarded jealously by the Mishima Corportation. This gives them absolute power which they wield tyrannically to maintain their status quo of ruling the entire world. Meanwhile in a small dojo, Hiro Miyamoto is busy training his students in all-but forgotten way of the samaurai, unaware that his life and that of every person on the planet was meant to be so much different. A deseperate plea for help begins him on a path that is not just out of this world, but out of time as well.

The last time I played this game it was for the PC and it was quite an experience. It was clunky to control, difficult to play ,had a companion mechanic that only added to the difficulty and was overall not fun to play at all. To top it all off the game crashed for me upon trying to start a certain level and try as I might, no method of getting past the crash worked. I reluctantly put the let's play on hold until I could find a way to get past that point and I can finally say that I've found a way and it's called 'playing the game boy colour version.'

But how can this game be the same, I hear you ask? How can a first person shooter be ported to the Game Boy Colour while retaining the plot and the gameplay of the original? The answer is that you can retain the plot quite easily but the gameplay has the change, and change it did to a top down dungeon crawler. Is that change enough to make it a better game though?

Let's do the time warp and find out, shall we?
