Let's Play Tiny Barbarian DX #20: Chasing Clichés
94The sinister tower has been toppled but there's one more challenge waiting for us to face, one more fight left to fight. Unlike the last one, this one seemingly has little mystery behind it, throwing us against a trope so tired that its slumber is deeper then the most hideous eldritch abominations that sleep beyond the silken veils of reality. As far as motivation to go and defeat someone goes, rescuing a friend that's been captured rarely fails to stir a hero into action, but you've got to wonder if the people who've done it this time quite know who they're annoying by doing this. After all, the Tiny Barbarian has not only destroyed a serpent cult, he's survived the ancient kingdom of Xanadu and only recently defeated an all-powerful wizard.
Unless this group of would-be villains have something truly phemoninal up their sleeves, they're in a rude awakening when the Tiny Barbarian not only kicks down their door, but uses said door to defeat the guards watching over it before hacking and slashing his way towards his friend. First things first though, we're going to need to keep up with them as they retreat to their headquarters for if there's another trope that villains love to do, it's lead the one person that can stop them right towards their base of operations.
So far, so cliché but that doesn't mean it won't be any less fun. Let's keep our eyes open for something that might surprise us though, just in case. You never know where the clues might be that things are not quite as they seem.
