0After what seems like a near century wait (it was really only about 5 years), the newest Make A Good Mega Man Level (MAGMML for short) has been released! I've decided to get on this as soon as possible before I start getting spoiled on the entries. I'll be playing through the levels and reading the reviews along the way and giving some thoughts on each of the levels in the description. Feel free to follow along...
I thought we were done. I thought that contenders for least favorites were done and over with. This game is doing everything in it's power to prove otherwise. Tier 8 and anyone who has played up to this points, knows what that means... but first...
Metal Man Steals Other People's Conveyors - I'm uploading this immediately after my stream and completely forgot that we played this. These are some of the worst placed tokens I've seen yet as, with a few, I do not know how to get them without dying. That's poor design if you are MEANT to get them by dying. Apart from that, this is a nothing stage. Now, on to the meat of this...
Worthless Man - Is it fair to give least favorite to a stage that is, technically, not ranked? This, was not a pleasant experience, at all. The stage is certainly creative, but man oh man, it fumbles that creativity BAD. The gimmick itself is alternating force beams with different colors (or night and day), hit a switch to make the yellow blocks and beams appear while blue disappear and vice versa. Where it falls apart is it's HORRIFIC execution. This stage goes on for way to long and many of the jumps are way too tight, making for a physically exhausting experience. I was close to giving up at the forth token. I made stupid mistakes because of how drained I was. I spent 90 MINUTES in this level alone. The length of a movie. And that's not even counting the Superboss at the end of it all. I've seen Touhou games level bullet spammy. That said, she was probably the fairest thing in the stage, since she could at least be made easier with Laser Trident and E-Tanks. Course without those, oof. What an absolutely miserable experience.
