Let's Play New Super Mario Bros. - Part 17: Exercise in the Skies
Having beaten World 6, we...actually have to go elsewhere to get to World 7. It's another "secret" world, as World 4 was, and we must get to it the same way...or we would, if we didn't have a warp cannon that's a heck of a lot more convenient than using a Mini Mushroom to defeat the World 5 boss. World 7 is the sky-themed world of the game, or cloud if you prefer. Naturally, there are a plethora of bottomless pits around, and yet, despite that, this world really isn't even that difficult. 7-1 is centered around line-guided platforms, generally in fairly long paths, and Fire Chomps make their debut here as well. Probably the most obnoxious thing about this level is that despite not having a secret exit or requiring any particular powerups, it must be revisited if you wish to collect all the Star Coins (unless there is a way to double back that I'm missing). After this comes World 7's ghost house, pretty early in the world (a la Chocolate Island in Super Mario World). Its only real gimmick is having 5 doors to go through at the start of the level, only one of which will lead you to either exit. (The others are still required for Star Coins, though.) The secret exit in this one is kind of obscurely hidden, too. 7-2 is simplistic; essentially the entire level takes place on a platform that constantly rises but can be directed left and right, and the only enemy types are red Koopas and green Para-Koopas. 7-3, on the other hand, is pretty interesting, if on the easy side. This entire level takes place on the back of a giant Wiggler. The Wiggler cannot hurt you, though it walks in a wave pattern that can send you flying into things above you if you're not careful. Definitely one of the more unique levels in the game.
