Let's Play New Super Mario Bros. - Part 11: It's Beginning to Look Just Like an Ice World
2We're now in World 5, the land of snow and ice. (We could have done it three episodes ago, but I couldn't very well skip World 4, now, could I?) 5-1 is the only level to focus on the snowy aspect of it, with deep snowdrifts to sink in, snowball-throwing enemies, and snow on tree branches that can fall on you. As such, it is one of the world's more unique stages...unlike 5-2, which is pretty much just "an underground level WITH ICE!". It also shows us just how slow Spike Tops really are. And then there is the World 5 tower, which is even less interesting, consisting of basically a rising platform and a bunch of rolling spike balls. I never did like the rising platform levels...eh, well, we've made a mark on World 5 in any case.
