While we’re not that far into the game, we’ve encountered all but two of the foes that we’ll be facing throughout it. One of the enemies we’ve yet to meet is the final boss while the other will be met in a couple of levels and either of them are to be taken lightly. The same can be said for almost every opponent in the game, for even the weaker ones can deal a lot of damage in large enough numbers or from a vantage point where it’s hard for you to hit them. That I dislike the chaingun zombies as much as I do is because of the many times they’ve whittled down my health from some hard-to-hit position.

No amount of foes will stop Doomguy however, for he has to get to the heart of the spaceport and save what remains of humanity from the demon threat. Whatever method the demons are using to reach Earth doesn’t appear to extend far beyond the planet’s atmosphere, though I wonder what long term prospects humanity has if they’re forced to spend forever in outer space or go searching for another habitable world. Last I checked, there weren’t many of them within a stones throw of ours.We can worry about that after we free them from the fiery dome that traps them however and that’s going to involve for combat, something Doomguy has no qualms about whatsoever.
