I used to think that mutons were the most dangerous enemy I could encounter, but I’m very quickly being reminded of how wrong I was in that regard. The ethereals are the true terror of the alien threat and the sooner I hammer that into my head, the better off I’ll be. With the ability to fly, decent accuracy with their weapons and a plethora of psionic powers, even a single one of them can be a dangerous threat to your squad if they get into someone’s head and take control. It makes me glad that I decided not to take on that downed terror ship, as all of that combined with the ever deadly sectopods would’ve been too much for my team to handle.

The sooner I get the next step of armour, the better off I’ll be. The jump to personal armour was a hefty increase in the survivability of our soldiers and that is even more-so with the stuff we’ll research down the line. For now though, we’ll need to substitute tactics and caution in place of that armour until we get it and hope that’s enough to keep my soldiers alive.
