Look Outside - How To Enable Cheats, And What They Do! More Details In Description!
FIRST OFF! Don't do this until you have enjoyed the game, or are super stuck! This can seriously ruin the experience if you have not witnessed everything this game has to offer first!
In your room, there is a hidden spot you can enter a code if you interact with the wall right above the dresser in the bottom right corner. It will ask for a 4 digit code, so enter 0451. You will get a confirmation that cheats are enabled. Interacting with them allows you to do a variety of things. I will list what is in the apartment, but be aware, there are ALSO other cheat boxes and such in other areas of the game, and these can do things like force start quests, or give you items you need (like Planet Discs and Offering items).
As for your apartment main room, you can do a bunch of cool stuff here!
Cheat Button by the Video Game rack - This will allow you to add the collectible Video Games to your collection! For some reason, it says it adds all of them, but you only get 17/20.
Cheat Button by the clock - This allows you to change the time, and even the day itself. BE AWARE! Going backwards days has been causing the game to crash on me! Setting the time for the current day has been working fine, however.
Ammo on island in kitchen - This allows you to add any item or gear to your inventory. This includes, healing items, weapons, armor, etc.!
Coin pouch on island in kitchen - This allows you to add or subtract money from yourself.
Cheat button on the island in the kitchen - This will add the coffee maker to your kitchen, which grants 4 cups of coffee to you per day for interacting with it.
Cheat button under the sink - I am unsure what this does yet, but it brings up a 4 digit code input.
Blue button on east wall - This allows you to view the endings for the game.
Three Cheat buttons on the southeast wall - These will allow you to warp to different locations. BE CAREFUL! I tried a few and became stuck in place! Save before messing with these!
Rat by the table - This allows you to add the Rat Child to the apartment.
Blue button next to the rat - This allows you to apply status effects to yourself. I am guessing this is so you can get familiar with what they do, as well as which items cure them.
Blue button second to left from rat - This allows you to add roaches to your apartment, or even add a roach with a note. I haven't messed with this one yet, but after using it, roaches didn't show up. Maybe you have to leave the room and come back, or go to sleep first?
Blue button furthest to the left from the rat - This allows you to force any knock encounter to happen.
Orange button to left of the front door - This lets you add any party member to your apartment.
Orange button to right of the front door - You can add XP to all members of your party by using this. It levels you up FAST! I believe it only took 4 interactions to max level the team (level 20)!
Green item button - This adds crafting ingredients to your inventory.
This covers the stuff in your apartment, but like I said, there are other buttons and such around the game that do other things. Right outside the front door, there is a button that allows you to raise the danger level, and a RED button that says Foe on it, but I haven't really been able to tell what it does.
Another thing you can do is force start quests. For example, if you go to where Rafta is, the Stationery and Pen will be in the room, as well as Nestor's model. You can get the Pen and Paper to give to Rafta to start the quest, OR, you can simply interact with Nestor to force the quest to start.
While this can all be fun and worth giving a try, I would again suggest NOT doing it until you have experienced the game completely first! No judgement, everyone should play games how they want (except for cheating in multiplayer games...), but you will be seriously taking away a lot from the experience if you are basically god-like right from the start! Anyways, have fun!
