This video shows the world that my son and I started 5 years ago with raytracing applied to it through mods. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when we loaded it up! This makes it seem like a whole different game! We have not played Minecraft in a while since we moved on to different games as he got older, but he has still always liked Minecraft, so we decided to play again some more for the nostalgia of when he was barely even old enough to play games (he's almost 10 now).

We thought we lost our world since we started on Playstation 5, but after Googling if we could get it onto PC, I found that I was able to import it by using Realms to copy it. I was SO happy that we didn't lose this world! Everything was done in Survival mode, and I don't even know how many hours we put into this world, but I am guessing over 1,000!

Being able to play this world again with him after so many years really made me happy! This game was a HUGE part of his early childhood, and something we did to strengthen our bond. I will ALWAYS have a soft spot for Minecraft (I myself played it for countless hours on Xbox when it first came out), and being able to share the experience with my son and all the good times we had has made me love it even more! This game is truly special, even 14 years after it's launch, and something I can always come back to with my son when we have some free time and nothing else to play together.
