Max Payne 3 - Chapter 2 psychedelia compilation
2All instances of the glitch psycho-LMS from Chapter 2, with some extra observations. Warning: parts of this video are hard to watch if you're sensitive to blinking and bright lights.
0:00 - this glitch at C2-C2. You get weird colors as Max speeds through the window. After landing down, the game always crashes.
0:30 - this glitch at C2-C3. This example is extra garish because of the effect has been overlapped about two times.
0:56 - ignoring the enemies (because you can't shoot right now), you are able to reach the next cutscene. It too has weird colors. Afterwards the game fixes things and you can continue playing without Max dying mysteriously.
So: in rare cases it's actually possible to use psycho-LMS as a combat exploit. Do psycho-LMS to give Max invulnerability, then just run past enemies and hit the next checkpoint. Even though usually that's simply not possible for a reason or another.
1:37 - despite Max being invulnerable to damage, death floor still catches him just fine. However, you get a side effect from dying and forcing the game to retry during psycho-LMS: after retry the psycho-LMS is still going on (albeit in a reduced state). Then Max dies mysteriously as usual.
I haven't tested, but I expect that dying again by running out of the LMS timer while already dead causes a softlock.
2:18 - this glitch at C2-C4. What an eyesore! Max is stuck in one place for the duration of the psycho-LMS.
2:52 - this glitch at C2-C6. The Chinese restaurant gains a deep blue color scheme, not bad! Unfortunately once again Max is stuck in one place, so you can't play onward in the game with broken colors.
