Genealogical Notes: Married Diego Luis Moctezuma on July 27, 1592. Mother of Augustina Moctezuma.

Location: Nazca Lines; Sechura Desert, Ica, Peru
Guide: Hani Battuta; Rupert’s colleague

LEVELS

Level 28-1
Squares (Expert): 117
Locks (Expert): 7 (13)
Expert Alterations: Locks Added on C2, D2, E2, I2, J2, and K2
Hani’s Comments: “The Nazca Lines, as I study them, seem to be telling me that, in your case, we should investigate Machu Picchu. This would not be a long journey, but, if I am reading this correctly, it would be a significant one.”
Reward (Association): Hernán Piece #6 (Francisca’s uncle)

Level 28-2
Squares (Expert): 98
Locks (Expert): 6 (10)
Expert Alterations: Locks Added on A2, A3, L2, and L3
Hani’s Comments: “In the time since we last saw each other, I have had the pleasure to work many crafts and meet many scholars and dignitaries – and even some derelicts. The most interesting, perhaps, was a man named Ciril Pack, who was insistent on two things: his relationship to Moctezuma II, and how much he missed his son, Rupert. Tell me, what do you know about this man?”
Reward (Association): Catalina Piece #5 (Francisca’s mother-in-law)

Level 28-3
Squares (Expert): 107
Locks (Expert): 9 (11)
Expert Alterations: Locks Added on D6 and K6
Hani’s Comments: “According to my research, a woman named Francisca de la Cueva, married to Diego Luis Moctezuma, gave birth to a daughter named Augustina on November 5, 1597. As it would turn out, she would be the last known child to carry Moctezuma as a paternal surname. It seems as though, given the historical significance of the Golden Jewel Board, there is a race to claim ownership to those bloodlines!”
Reward (Association): Catalina Piece #6 (Francisca’s mother-in-law)

Level 28-4
Squares (Expert): 93 (91)
Locks (Expert): 4 (5)
Expert Alterations: Lock Added on G3; D3 and J3 Omitted
Hani’s Comments: “Due to the peculiarly still and arid climate here, the Nazca Lines have remained relatively undamaged for countless centuries, despite being nothing more than lines in the soil. It is crucial that these lines stay intact for generations to come, or else we risk losing valuable insight into history.”
Reward (Association): Moctezuma Piece #1 (Francisca’s grandfather-in-law)
