5Dodging all trainers in the gym can be tricky. All the trainers move and the door you have to choose is completely random. I eventually reached Fanina and challenged her. I needed 2 Curses to OHKO all her Pokémon with Bite. Duskull knows Will-O-Wisp and I have a Burn Heal to counter that. It can only use it once, otherwise I reset. Thanks to Grotle's high HP and Special Defense IV's, it can survive nicely a Shadow Ball from Mismagius. I hoped for a Quick Claw but that didn't happen. Haunter is also an easy OHKO.
Then I left the gym and encountered my rival. Staravia is an annoying Pokémon to use Curse. Double Team is a pain and I only accept 1 Return miss. 3 Curses are needed to OHKO it and the rest of the rival's team, so Staravia can also use a lot of Double Teams. Quick Claw didn't activate in this battle so every Pokémon of my rival attacked and Roselia paralyzed me. That was solved with a Paralyze Heal and I left Hearthome City after defeating my rival. I dodged a few trainers next, picked up a Hyper Potion I couldn't find immediately.
