5The reason I saved here is simple: I need to catch both Starly (for Fly and Defog) and Bidoof (for Cut and Rock Smash). The first one I encounter will be caught at full health because it's so early in the segment. The Youngster's Starly must use Growl as less as possible for the fastest time. The Bidoof of the Lass will almost always use Tackle. Then I catch the second one I need. Here I weaken Bidoof or Starly to make sure it will be caught. If I run into a Shinx first or I don't have caught both of them in 3 wild battles, I reset. The last Youngster has an easy Burmy.
In Jubilife City, I met Looker for the first time and he is more annoying than useful thanks to his extra conversations. I went to the Trainer School and took the X-Attack here. Then I talked to my rival and he gave me a Town Map. Later I collected the 3 Pokétch Coupons to receive the Pokétch while picking up a Potion. Then I entered a house to obtain the Quick Claw and equipped it to Turtwig. I saved before the second battle with my rival.
