Sea of Stars - Ch. 40 - The Artificer
0Last time, we made the journey back to our home world, so that we could ask Cael for help with the encrypted controls of The Catalyst. Cael and his buddies not only figured out how the machine worked. They made their own Catalyst on Home World and chose to merge their consciousnesses into one cyborg to be able to join us! That's some crazy dedication. Together, Cael and his buddies become... The Artificer!
CHAPTER 40 - THE ARTIFICER
This is a short chapter. We're basically just a chapter or two away from the endgame cleanup and then we're on to the final chapter. So enjoy it while you can: an easy, breezy boss-less chapter. There's at least five boss fights left in the game, so there's still some heavy stuff ahead.
We left off at the Speedball Travel Network station located at the entrance to the Sea of Stars, Serai's world of course. From here, we'll grab a Speedball to Sky Base. Since I missed it the first time, I'll take this opportunity to grab the Rainbow Conch I missed...
Where is it again? Remember that room where you move the tiles you have to jump on? It's a pretty quick walk from the entrance. It's located to the right of the very first save point and campsite you'll see, just a room or two away from the entrance. Simply move the first two tiles all the way up to reach it.
Now head back to the entrance and take the teleporter here. This takes us to the save point and campsite located just south of where we fought The Catalyst. The vending machine here has the recipe for 'Surf and Turf Tataki', so definitely pick this up, if you haven't already.
Let the Artificer do their thing here and eventually the machines generating the dense clouds will be disabled. The sun will come shining through and now you'll be able to see the moon, which was sunk into the ocean below.
You'll now be able to access this area, which is where you'll fight the Dweller of Dread! The game is telling you it's now time. I tried this fight out already, just out of curiosity. I went in blind and it was certainly challenging, but not impossible.
But I think I went in with the wrong food. Anyway, more on that next time. It's time to a take a very unearned break.
