Seijin Plays FFT 1.3034 Easytype, Part 48 : Adramelk Is Glitchy
Okay, this battle is actually not very difficult. I did one test battle, and I could have won it easily on my first try, with a party having one member nearly useless against Adramelk. I resetted without bothering to actually beat it because I was not recording at the time (as it was simply a test battle to see what I was up against).
Anyway, this battle consists of two halves. The first half of the battle consists of an opposition of several knights and Dycedarg, and we have Zalbag as a guest ally. He is actually very useful compared to many other guests, as he can dish out a lot of damage (350+ on Dycedarg). However, he seemed more interested in damaging Dycedarg in my test run than in this run...
Dycedarg takes a little bit to take down because he has Damage Split and Move-HP UP and the regen status (and I think he has innate Defense UP and Magic Defense UP, but I'm not sure). The knights can do pretty decent damage, and some of them can inflict status effects such as confuse (not seen a lot in this battle, but my test run had some of that).
The ideal strategy is to nuke Dycedarg in one or two turns (hopefully, with Zalbag's help) with many offensive spells or other unevadable attacks. It worked well in my test run, but not so well here because Dycedarg walked out of range on his first turn. So I actually took my time to kill all the enemy knights instead (which wasn't all that difficult).
The second half of the battle consists of Adramelk. Now, don't exactly know what he has in his arsenal. In my test run, all he did was attack physically (with innate Two Swords, so it's a pretty deadly double attack), break equipment or use Loss. I don't know what else he has, but that's all he used. For the most part, he was attacking one character at a time, making it very easy to sandbag.
He has Counter Magic for reaction ability, which means that unless I break his MA a lot, I'd better avoid using devastating spells and just attack him physically with no issues to my safety.
As for my group, I have Dead Fish and The Man as ninjas, specifically for Adramelk. They have PA-increasing equipment, but Concentrate instead of Attack UP to make the first half easier since the knights have good evasion/blocking.
Seijin is a sage, who is going to spam Return 2 against Adramelk. Now, that is way cheap. I know. Sara is a priest with Yin Yang Magic, who will do a basic job of resurrecting when needed, but with the specific goal of using Pray Faith on Seijin. Why? So that Return 2 has a 100% success chance against Adramelk.
Finally, Ramza is a chemist, whose goal is to keep my casters' MP up, and otherwise use Haste with his secondary. He can also do some damage with his gun during the first half, although it is still pretty low.
Note : I considered berserking my ninjas against Adramelk to increase their damage, but I was not totally sure of how they would behave, because I never really used that status before. So I decided not to take any risks, because I had everything under control.
GLITCHY ADRAMELK DOES NOT LIKE YOU!
