Wow, lots of progress in this video. Although I did a lot of goofing off, too. You might want to refer to the timestamps below.

After we fight Belome, it's time for the Midas River course. I should mention that the frog coins only appear the first time you play, so save those trap rooms for another time.

Then we have a very serious scene revealing something seriously shocking about Mallow, and proceed on to Rose Town. Here we are introduced to everyone's favorite character, Geno (who purposely rams his head into the stairs, why?), and learn the true mission of the game. The first of many games where the goal is to collect stars. Unless you count the baby timer in Yoshi's Island.

Speaking of which, Yoshi appears in this game, in a completely optional area for a racing/gambling minigame! Racing against Boshi is pretty easy for me, but racing against a track full of yoshis is much harder. I have more luck gambling. What's nice is that there's no real loss if you lose. You gamble cookies, and if you run out, no problem, there's a pink yoshi there to lend us an infinate supply of them. There's a couple other things to do here, but those come later.

Bowyer was disappointingly easy, even at these levels. The first time I played this game, he drove me insane. Now, I'm never all that worried about my health, and I'm always stuck in the pattern of "A locked, Y locked". He's never given any reason to lock X. And I tried my best to coax him into it.

You'll notice an unusual strategy in the goomba-stomping and minecart minigames. The way they work is, you get a prize only by beating the previous record. So I try to go for the worst score possible, to better my chances of winning the next time I play.

You'll also notice that I didn't take the treasure from the guy in Rose Town. In my experience, taking the treasure or telling him that his treasure is gone results in less good treasure in the forest. I'll come back for it later.

I didn't show it off, but midway through the Croco fight, he takes all your items, leaving Mallow as your only way to heal, and that's if you still have enough FP. Normally by this point I'd have Mario's second fire spell, which would do a ton of damage to Croco. Even without it, Croco wasn't too difficult.

Finally, Moleville is a furry town.
