Sonic Superstars | One-Minute Co-Op Game Review
50If you like to play co-op games with your friends, siblings, or your significant other - you might be tempted to try out this new game featuring a certain Sega mascot and his friends.
Well… you might be better off saving your money for something else.
Today’s one-minute co-op game review is on Sonic Superstars.
In this game, up to 4 players can come together and go through the levels simultaneously.
Other 2D platformers have shown that this concept can be lots of fun.
Now, I’m not saying that Sonic Superstars is a bad game, because I don’t think it is, but I can say with 100% certainty that this particular game does not work in co-op.
The gameplay is so fast and chaotic. Trying to have multiple people play through the level at the same time just makes no sense, and it ends up being fun for no one.
My wife and I tried it together, and it was basically unplayable. I can only imagine how terrible it would be to try and play this game with 4 people.
Sega, I appreciate the attempt, but it may be that Sonic needs to stay single-player.
