Splatoon 3: Up the Junction in Salmon Run [36-34-36, 28/849]
3It's my first time in to Jammin' Salmon Junction, and I'm sure t will be fine. And my first use of the S-Blast '92! I'm sure jumping won't cause me any difficulties. It's nice to see there are walls, for escapes and mobility, but not so many that inking them is a chore. As long as squidmates ink them. Otherwise, the layout seems interesting, even if that gap down the middle is bound to see many an inkling fail to jump it. The S-Blast '92 looks like fun too, although using a Range Blaster normally probably makes it easier for me. All told, the first wave passes smoothly enough.
The Splat Charger for the second wave, so I hang back near the basket, which is fine for the Drizzler, not so much for a Flyfish. I jump and throw a Splat Bomb, thinking I can reach, but maybe I over-extend a touch. My squidmates are all distant, but I'm revived and I see a Big Shot that needs splatting. And a second! A squidmate comes to help, which is nice, but maybe I hold my final shot for the splatting blow, if only because I still don't have my Big Shot badge. I leave the egg cannon to my squidmate and head back, where I hoped a Dolphin would do more, but it clears some turf. A Maws causes a little problem, but not for long, and then we just need eggs. Actually, we need eggs. It's good to see my squidmates collecting them, even if they snatch eggs from under me, and it's even nicer to see lade Snatchers come our way. I hold my nerve, splat the Snatchers, and give us a small bounty of eggs to see us in to the final wave.
I get the Sploosh-o-matic for the final wave, and promptly start inking everything. That takes me to a Stinger, which is nice, but I leave a Flipper to come closer. A Lid is tempting, but is over water, so we make sure to land on turf, as another Stinger appears. I am nearly panned in to the water but I keep going, and drag a Maws back to the basket. More Splat Bombs, for a Maws and Flyfish, and a nice Drizzler splat. But I leave the eggs, as we have bosses near the basket. And Cohocks. Splatting them gives us quota, but sticking near the basket brings the bosses closer, which would be less of an issue if we kept the low walls inked. We don't, and a Steel Eel bites me. It's only temporary, and there are more eggs to dunk last second. It's a good run overall, even if I don't manage to ride away on a Lid. Woomy!
