Splatoon 3: Finish with a Wail in Salmon Run [24-45-51-xs, 35/1106]
The H-3 Nozzlenose is a bit slow for me, but I'll do what I can. A Fish Finger is an easy start, and a Lid poses no problems. A Steel Eel is splatted a bit early, but that's okay, and throwing the eggs back gives time for more bosses to appear. I miss a Drizzler that's too far away, and don't give chase well, not getting the timing of the Nozzlenose right. I fare worse when caught between a Lid and a Steelhead. I'm revived to move around the Steelhead for a clear shot, which a squidmate beats me to, and I end up sitting there throwing eggs, although we are a bit short at the basket and end up diving that way to dunk what we need to get to wave two.
The first wave was surprisingly tight, so it's good that we have a relatively simple Mothership wave next, and at high tide to make egg delivery easier. My only qualm is getting the short-range Carbon Roller, which I like, but doesn't reach Chinooks well. I focus mostly on delivering eggs and splatting turf-based threats, like Chum and the drop pods. I try to use the Killer Wail on the Mothership, getting a bit disorientated as I do, but a couple of beams hit it, and we end up with a good total for the wave.
The third wave sticks at hide tide, and I have another short-range weapon. This is good. And a Lid appearing above a Steelhead is better. With nothing else around, a Flyfish doesn't stand a chance, and the only real problem at the moment is my inexperience with the Splatana Wiper. The Fish Finger is easy enough for it, and the Scrapper would be too, if I didn't run out of ink without realising. A squidmate's Dolphin gives me time to refill my tank, and dunk eggs, and I use my second Killer Wail to splat a distant Flyfish. My swipe disappointingly doesn't hit the Drizzler missile back, but I manage to splat a Scrapper near the basket, but I run out of ink again and Mr Cohock won't let me deliver my final egg.
Never mind, we beat our previous wave's tally and— what's this? An emergency? Here comes a Horrorboros! It's high tide, though, making it easier to reach, and we have the platform of Sockeye Station too. I can't do much with my Rapid Blaster, even so, and I drop down to find an egg to throw. I get back up again, just where the bomb lands, requiring a bit of dodging, but I am in range to splat the next bomb as it forms. Again, I don't think I'm doing that much. Back to the eggs, and a Scrapper gives us three in just the right spot to destroy the bomb in the Horrorboros's mouth! The eggs on the Fish Finger are out of range, but dropping down has more, and the Horrorboros is coming back in to range. Another hit! Trying to get more quick hits gets me splatted, though, and time is starting to run out. I am revived, I throw my egg poorly, and retreat to safety, where a well-aimed Killer Wail hits the next bomb as it forms, which, combined with an egg from a squidmate, inksplodes the bomb early and splats the Horrorboros! Woomy!
