Splatoon 3: Another Horrorboros bites the dust in All-Grizzco Salmon Run [28-54-54-xs, 38/860]
Movement before the countdown finishes! I am alert. I also have the Splatana, which isn't bad for Mudmouths, as it cuts through Smallfry, Chum, and Cohocks with ease. It's a shame we don't have a bucket, though, for easy Mudmouth splatting. You can't have everything, and we make do with what we have, putting in a decent if unspectacular first-wave shift.
The tide goes out for the second wave, which is good news for my long-range Charger. We also have a good selection of weapons. This wave should be smoother. Or not, if I try to emulate Link and climb up a small obstacle for a better shot at the Lid. It's not even raining! Some rapid shooting at a distant Big Shot does nothing, but at least moving around for the Drizzler missile pays off. It gets me clear of the horde to actually shoot the Big Shot as well, and I fire a bunch of eggs back towards the basket. I splat a Fish Finger with a modicum of efficiency, and almost a Stinger, which I leave for a squidmate who looks better suited to the task. Back to the basket, for eggs and Flippers and eggs. I keep the Drizzler rain away too, which helps, and we stuff lots of eggs in to the basket for a much better tally. Onwards!
Still at low tide, and a Stringer in my hands. Tornado! It's perhaps the most straightforwards of the special waves, and helped by having weapons that can cut through the Chum. And that's what they do, as we throw the eggs around and in to the waiting basket. The second cache is broken nice and early, more eggs are thrown, and the falling Cohocks pose few problems. It might have been easier had I remembered my two Dolphins, but passing the half-century again has it matter little. Woomy!
Wait, a King Salmond approaches! At low tide too. I still have the Stringer, which is fine, and I alternate between splatting bosses, throwing eggs, and shooting the Horrorboros directly. Maybe I spend too much time focussed on splatting bosses again, not realising how powerful our weapons are against the King Salmonid. Then again, if no one splatted bosses, they would overwhelm us. I think we all contributed to a rather quickly splatting. Woomy!
